Contains piano versions of selected songs from Final Fantasy VIII for the Playstation. Some who preordered the CD received a six-month year 2000 calendar with an enlarged version of the FF8 PC cover. The calendar was just one beige sheet, with the months in tiny print on the bottom, and measuring about 23 inches by 16.5 inches. It was a beautiful, if really rather useless, bonus.

There is a scorebook, published by Yamaha Media Music, that contains the music scores to the arrangements on this CD. Go to Yamaha's site to check them out.

First pressing: Comes with a beige slipcase printed on textured paper. It does NOT come with an obi. The picture on the slipcase is the same as on the liner notes. The fold-out liner notes contain the piano score to "Eyes On Me"; a profile of Shinko Ogata; a picture of Ogata, Nobuo Uematsu, and Shirou Hamaguchi; and messages from Uematsu and Hamaguchi. Also comes with a "Digicube point card" -- certain Digicube CDs and other items were worth a certain number of points that you could trade in for prizes for a limited time. Here are scans of the front and the back of the card if anyone wants to try to translate it.

Squaresoft version: The liner notes are in the same style and have the same content as the first pressing. Instead of a slipcase, this regular version has an obi.

EverAnime version: Comes with a white slipcase printed on smooth, glossy paper. The liner notes have the same content as the SS version, but they unfold a little differently.

Top Circle version: The liner notes have the same content as the SS version, but they unfold a little differently. Also, all company names have been removed from the credits. Comes with a customer survey sheet.
