Soundtrack to the original Final Fantasy Tactics game for the Playstation.

    First pressing:

Comes in a double-CD jewel case in a slipcase. Does NOT have an obi. Includes a character card of a Moogle, measuring about 4 inches by 2.25 inches. Later pressings did not have the Moogle card. The plastic shrinkwrap had a sticker on the outside that translates roughly in part to: "Special gift: Character poster and premium character card enclosed." Also comes with a fold-out poster measuring about 19 inches by 16.5 inches, with artwork of the game's different job classes. The liner notes' style and content are the same as the regular Squaresoft edition.

    Squaresoft version:

Comes in a double-CD jewel case in a slipcase. Does NOT have an obi. The fold-out liner notes have the tracklist in mixed English and Japanese (kana); messages from Masaharu Iwata and Hitoshi Sakimoto; and a photo of Iwata and Sakimoto. Also comes with the same character poster as the first pressing. The slipcase, jewel case, and CDs all look the same as the first pressing; please refer to the first-pressing scans above for pictures.

    Square Enix re-release:

Comes in a regular-sized jewel case with obi. Does NOT have a slipcase. The CD tray flips up to hold both CDs. Barring any corrections or slight text changes that might have been made in the liner notes that I didn't catch, the liner notes and music are the same as the original SS version. The only real differences are the new catalog number and minor changes to the credits. Also, the style of the liner notes is slightly different to account for the fact that it is now the actual album cover.

    SonMay version:

Comes in a double-CD jewel case. (In my scan, you can see a crack on the back of the jewel case.) The obi and both CDs misspell "Fantasy" as "Fantast," Iwata as "Iwate," and Sakimoto as "Sakimato." The liner notes have all the correct spellings, though. The glossy, fold-out liner notes are folded slightly differently from the SS version, but they have the same content as the SS version, except that all company names have been removed from the credits. Disc 1 has a play time of 75:13 while disc 2 is 75:50, both of which are only because most of the songs have a few seconds more of silence than the original Japanese version.

    EverAnime version:

Comes in double-CD jewel case in a slipcase that has flaps on both sides that you can close, so that it completely encloses the jewel case. Does NOT have an obi. The fold-out liner notes are folded slightly differently from the SS version, but they have the same content as the SS version, except that all company names have been removed from the credits. Also comes with a job-class artwork poster in the same style and with the same content as the SS version, and a customer survey card. The slipcase, poster, and liner notes all have a similar paper-grocery-bag feel to it that the SS version has. Disc 1 shows a play time of 75:13 while disc 2 is 75:50, both of which are only because each song has a few seconds more of silence than the original Japanese version.

    K-O Records version:

Comes in a regular-sized jewel case. The inside tray flips up to hold both CDs. Disc 1 shows a play time of 76:37 while disc 2 is 75:50, both of which are only because each song has a few seconds more of silence than the original Japanese version. On the obi and both CDs, Sakimoto's name is misspelled as "Sakimato" (probably copied from the SM version) and Iwata's name is misspelled as "Iwate," although both names are correctly spelled in the liner notes. The glossy, fold-out liner notes are in the same style and have the same content as the SS version, except that all company names have been removed from the credits.

Titles with a star ( * ) in front of them were composed by Sakimoto; all others were done by Iwata. I wasn't able to get too far in this game ^_^ so if I've got some English names incorrect, please e-mail me.
