    First soundtrack to the second Final Fantasy anime, called "Final Fantasy: Unlimited," which started broadcasting in Japan in October 2001.

    The characters' names printed in the Geneon release of the soundtrack do not always correspond to the official English ones given in the subtitles in the anime released by ADV. In my translations, I have used the names found in the ADV subtitles.


    Avex version: The 2-page liner notes contain the tracklist in Japanese (kana) and three color screenshots from the anime. Yeah, these liner notes are pretty sparse. Also includes a customer survey card and a small card that has a picture of the CD cover in color one one side, and the same picture in blue on the other side. I don't know if the card comes only with first pressings.

    SonMay version: This CD includes three songs from the Over the FANTASY CD single. The 2-page liner notes has the tracklist in mixed kana and English; lyrics to "Over the FANTASY" in kana; and the same color screenshots found in the Avex version. Printed on the CD is a picture of the CD cover in a way that the words "Final Fantasy Unlimited" ring the outer edge of the CD, but in doing so, Lisa Pacifist's head is obscured.

    EverAnime version: This CD includes the song "VIVID" and five songs from the "Over the Fantasy" CD single. The liner notes contain the tracklist in mixed kana and English; lyrics to "Over the Fantasy" and "VIVID" in kana; pictures of the covers to the CD singles Over the FANTASY and VIVID; credits for the Japanese anime and music staff; and the same color screenshots found in the Avex version. Also includes customer survey card. Printed on the CD is a picture of the CD cover, but in a different position from the SM version.


    Tracks with a star ( * ) in front were composed by Uematsu. Tracks with a plus ( + ) in front were composed by Hamaguchi. All others (except the EA and SM extra tracks) were done by Tada.
