    Soundtrack to the game "Hikari no 4-Senshi: Final Fantasy Gaiden" for the Nintendo DS. The title translates to "Four Warriors of Light." (The number 4 is pronounced in most cases as "yon," especially when counting people, so I've been pronouncing the title as "yon-senshi." If that is wrong, please e-mail me.) Whether it will be released in the U.S. is currently unknown.

    This CD was part of a "soundtrack campaign" by Square Enix that ran from Dec. 1, 2009, to Feb. 28, 2010. I have no idea what the details are, but it seemed to partially involve the SE point cards. Included in this CD is a flyer explaining the campaign; for anyone who wants to try to translate it, here are scans of the front and the back. The back of the flyer has some kind of point value printed in the corner; what it's used for, I don't know.


    Square Enix version: The fold-out liner notes have the tracklist in Japanese (kana); hand-drawn artwork of some of the characters; pixellated art of what I assume are some of the items and armor in the game; and messages from sound director Tomohiro Kamiya, composer Naoshi Mizuta, and arranger Mitsuto Suzuki. Also comes with a Square Enix point card.




    I have not played the game, so I do not know the exact English translations of town and place names, so I've left them in their romanized forms in my translations.
