Comes in a DVD-sized, thick cardboard slipcase with the obi wrapped around the bottom part of the case. The kanji across the top of the obi (which you can see in the slipcase scan) say "Owarinaki tatakai no gensoukyoku," which translates roughly to "Fantasia of the endless battle." The tracklist in mixed Japanese (kana) and English is printed on the back part of the obi. The slipcase is textured and has gold embossing, with the Dissidia name and logo also gold-embossed on the spine. The 2 CDs themselves come in a book-style, DVD-sized housing with artwork of the villains on one side (it's the same art that's on the back of the slipcase) and the heroes on the other (same art as on the front of the slipcase), both by series artist Yoshitaka Amano. The CD trays are clear plastic with more Amano artwork underneath both trays. Also comes with a Square Enix point card. The liner notes are also DVD-sized and are separate from the CD casing. The content and layout are generally the same as the regular edition, except the two pieces of Amano artwork are much larger, and there is extra Amano art of the heroes and villains. The art on the liner notes cover is also reprinted in black and white underneath the lyrics to "The Messenger." |
Comes in a cardboard fold-out case with an obi. The kanji on the obi (which you can see in the scan of the front cover) say "Owarinaki tatakai no gensoukyoku," which translates roughly to "Fantasia of the endless battle." The disc trays are clear plastic with a cloudy gray sky design underneath. The tracklist in mixed Japanese (kana) and English is printed on the inside cover. The liner notes slide into a small pocket in the soundtrack's front cover. The art on the front and back are the same as the art on the limited-edition liner notes, but in grayscale with just slight hints of red. The liner notes include the same tracklist as printed on the cover; lyrics to "Cosmos," "Chaos," and "The Messenger" (the songs are in English); and 2 pieces of artwork by series artist Yoshitaka Amano that I don't recognize offhand. Also comes with a Square Enix point card. I find it strange that original composers aren't credited in the liner notes... |
